Château Tessendey

The history of the d’Arfeuille family, who have lived in the Libourne area since the 18^th century, goes hand in hand with that of wine growing along the Right Bank.

Château Tessendey has belonged to the d’Arfeuille family since 1972, when an extensive renovation project was launched for the entire vineyard. The winery was overhauled in 2000.

Arnaud d’Arfeuille has managed the estate since 2010. He strives to make ‘haute couture’ style wines from just under 6 hectares of vines enjoying a perfect aspect along the appellation’s sunny hillsides.

Arnaud also manages his uncle’s property in Saint-Emilion, Château La Serre.

The d’Arfeuille family has a tradition of beautifully-kept gardens and the present-day château boasts a magnificent garden which pays tribute to Arnaud’s mother who was a passionate gardening enthusiast.
