Château
La Tour Du Pin Figeac

Château La Tour du Pin Figeac’s vineyard was hived off the prestigious property of Figeac in 1876 and acquired in 1923 by M.G. Bélivier who passed it on to Lucien Giraud in 1972.
Château Le Caillou owes its name to the land registry designation of the vineyards. For over a century it belonged to the Bélivier family from Pomerol who passed it on to Lucien Giraud and his family in 1975. Domaine de Lacombe and Le Clos Lacombe were added to the family’s portfolio in 1905 and 1974.
The two family estates are currently run by André Giraud.

Testimonial:

“We are a fortunate family in that we live amidst our vineyards. We work attentively, constantly observing these two great sites and using our in-depth knowledge of them to make wines showing archetypal features and elegance. Our philosophy is based on showing respect for these prime vineyard sites and eliciting their idiosyncrasies in our wines labelled Saint-Emilion Grand Cru and Pomerol.

Since 2011, we have invested heavily in the technical aspects of the property and our second son, Laurent, joined us at the start of 2014.

The four of us – myself, my husband André, Stéphane and Laurent – now orchestrate both properties together. My husband is the manager and oversees the entire running of the estates; I handle sales and administration; Stéphane manages wine production, from the vineyard to the winery; and Laurent will draw upon his training as a chef to develop wine tourism and receptions at the estate and attend a number of wine shows. We love sharing enjoyable moments with wine enthusiasts and explaining our work ethos.”
