Château Roc de Calon

The Laydis family have been making wine with the same genuine commitment and unswerving passion for nearly a century. The first generation settled on the hillock of Calon, in the heart of Montagne Saint-Emilion and the story began with a clutch of vines then grew to the present-day 23 hectares. As a mark of respect for family traditions and expertise passed down through four generations, the wines of Château Roc de Calon bear the unique stamp of their makers.

Sylvie and Bernard Laydis, and their children Thomas and Marie who are now picking up the torch, share the same enthusiasm and vision for Roc de Calon. Although they did not make it their career, their like-minded passion for wine has naturally led them to imbue each of their wines with its own unique identity.

Testimonial:

“We have been working with Oenoteam and Stéphane Toutoundji for nearly 15 years now. Joining In a Bottle was a logical next step. We want to take part in a joint effort to promote quality Bordeaux wines at very affordable prices. That’s what Bordeaux is about too! Our family can be proud of its labour of love and perpetuating it through the generations but ultimately, our shared ambition is to get enjoyment out of wine and to commit to producing well-made wines that can be shared with others”.
